Free games and fun activities

When the Malzmüllerwiesen meadows are transformed into a huge adventure playground, it’s that time again: the region’s biggest children’s day is coming up and delights visitors of all ages year after year. Games, fun and exciting activities await the whole family at numerous hands-on stations. A colorful supporting program with many highlights and surprises ensures the best entertainment and shining children’s eyes all day long!

Our clubs, institutions and companies provide lots of free fun and games for children of all ages: Bungee trampolines, a toboggan run, power paddlers, bouncy castles, basketball throwing and a climbing garden provide plenty of action. There will be lots of fun on the games course, a teddy clinic at Itzehoe Hospital, face painting, the water bar at the Itzehoe public utility company’s QuizzBuzz, various painting and craft activities and many other offers. The Itzehoe Sports Club will also be there again with various sports to try out.
On the Children’s Day stage, DJ Sascha Finke will provide a wealth of music to keep the kids entertained. You can also expect live acts from the SCI, the Eagles Fighters, the Giesen dance school and the Kremper Fahnenschwenkern.
This year’s Children’s Day will once again be accompanied by “Itzehoe blossoms and hums”. The joint plant market organized by the Itzehoe Beekeepers’ Association and the Eggert Nursery will once again be held on the Malzmüllerwiesen and offers the opportunity to buy perennials and shrubs that provide nectar and pollen for bees, bumblebees and other endangered insects. There are also lots of interesting things to discover about beekeeping.
