Prehistoric times in northern Germany Earth history you can touch
The Geotanium from Gettorf and geologist Johannes Jannsen are guests at the Prinzeßhof District Museum – and invite you on a journey through millions of years. Everyone knows about dinosaurs, but did prehistoric life also exist here?
In fact, traces of the earth’s history can also be discovered in northern Germany. The hands-on exhibition, where many things can be touched and tried out, shows both the stone witnesses and depictions of our prehistoric times in the form of drawings. This type of drawing is called a paleo-species and is not yet widespread in Germany. In this way, visitors of all ages can enter the world of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals and plants. Perhaps you will even use your new knowledge to search for traces of the past yourself?
Further information about the Geotanium can be found here.
