Market life, music and culinary delights – Unique flair at the foot of St. Laurentii
A very special market mile stretches along the entire Kirchenstraße and parts of the Breite Straße. The Steinburg evening market presents itself from its best side with a variety of culinary delicacies under different themes. Top restaurateurs from the region provide a variety of delicacies and musicians from the surrounding area ensure the unique flair of the evening market, always from 4.30 pm, at the foot of St. Laurentii, Itzehoe.
These are the dates in detail:
May 2: Genuinely Noordic! An evening full of North German cordiality and Low German delights. There is a varied program on stage with the “Shantychor Lägerdorf”, “Timbo & Band” and “Nico Chavez”. In the cooking tent: “Zum Dückerstieg”, “Brüdigams Wildwechsel” and “Anno 1617”. The matching wines are available from Weinhorizonte and the Itzehoe city management.
June 6:
La dolce vita! The sweet life with Mediterranean culinary delights in a relaxed atmosphere. There will be Italian pop and classics on stage to match. “Zum Dückerstieg”, “Antikcafé La Donna” and “Brüdigams Wildwechsel” will provide culinary delights. In the wine hut: Weinmarkt 21 and the Itzehoe city management.
July 04:
Hot Rod & Rock’n Roll! Legendary classics provide a nostalgic trip into the world of rock’n roll. You will once again be catered for by “Zum Dückerstieg”, “Brüdigams Wildwechsel” and “Antik Café La Donna”. The wine hut offers wines from Weinhaus Pfingsten and the Itzehoe city management. MikelOneTwo” will perform on stage and “Tom Miller” will bring a touch of Elvis to Breite Straße.
August 01:
From salsa to sangría! Join us for a Spanish fiesta full of joie de vivre, dancing and delicious food! In the cooking tent: “Antik Café La Donna” and “Kochen mit Freude”. On stage, the audience will also be heated up with “Tropicado” and the “Duo Padilla” in Breite Straße. Matching wines will be served by Wir für Itzehoe e.V. and the Itzehoe city management.
September 05:
Simply blue! Bring a blue accessory and enjoy an evening of jazz and swing! “Anno 1617” and the “Antik Café La Donna” will be providing the physical well-being and Behrens & Haltermann as well as the Itzehoe city management for the appropriate Wines. On the Stage and in Breite Straße, “Die Blaue Stunde”, “Birdy Jessel” and “Sultans of Swing”, among others, provide a varied concert program.
October 10:
Game, game, wine! The Steinburg Game Weeks begin with regional game specialties and red wines. Finally, “Zum Dückerstieg”, “Brüdigams Wildwechsel” and “Anno 1617” will once again provide culinary delights, and “Jason & Johny” and many other artists will provide entertaining music on stage. You can also enjoy wines from Weinhorizonte and the Itzehoe city management.
December 12th:
Christmas edition. It’s getting festive at the really last evening market of the year.
After a short break in November, the Steinburg Evening Market returns in December with the Christmas edition and creates a cozy Christmas atmosphere at the foot of St. Laurentii.
