Saturday, 24.05. Wine festival – 16.00 to 24.00
The festival around the juice of the vine is an integral part of Itzehoe’s calendar of events. Thousands of people flock to Itzehoe on this day to enjoy the wine on offer and various delicacies in the city center while listening to live music on several stages. On the main stage, the “Sparkassen stage”, several bands will provide an interesting and varied program and will really heat up the audience. The official opening will also take place there. Breite Straße invites you to stroll and linger with its culinary stalls. In the lower Breite Straße there will once again be a folk music festival by minstrels and in the Kirchenstraße a young stage program will be offered by the “Haus der Jugend”. In the courtyard of the town hall, the disco stage provides the best electronic hits for dancing and partying.
Wednesday, 28.05. Large flea market – 08:00 to 18:00
Flea market fans can stroll along a route of around five kilometers through Itzehoe’s city centre and look for that special deal at well over 500 stalls. This flea market doesn’t need any extras – it’s the highlight of the West Coast either way – with lots of private and rummage stands. An absolute must for every bargain hunter.
Starting signal for the flea market stand allocation:
The flea market spaces are allocated by the Itzehoe city management. The stand allocation starts on Saturday, April 26, at 9.00 a.m., at the Tourist Information Office, Feldschmiede 52 (in the new premises). The cost for private stand operators is 25.00 euros per 3 meter stand. So, secure good seats!
Sunday, 01.06. Children’s Day – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The biggest children’s day in the region attracts young and old to the district town every year to experience fun, games and excitement at many stations on the Malzmüllerwiesen, this year together with the International Children’s Day. There is also a colorful and varied program on the Children’s Day stage. In 2025, we will be introducing some new features: For example, the square will be organized thematically to make it easier to keep track of the many great offers. In addition, our new mascot will be introduced and given a name through a participatory competition. Look forward to lots of exciting surprises!
Thursday, 05.06. Steinburg evening market – from 4.30 pm
A very special market mile stretches across the entire Kirchenstraße and parts of Breite Straße. The Steinburg evening market presents itself from its best side with a variety of culinary delicacies. Top restaurateurs from the region provide a variety of culinary delights and local musicians add to the unique flair of the evening market.
