When the Itzehoer artist Anne-Gret Winkler looked through the large display window in the Schnoorhaus on the market square at the annual Kellinghusen pottery market in 2002, she found what she was looking for. “That’s when I saw my gallery!” she recalled. And within a short time these rooms established themselves as a meeting place for artists and art fans, which after a few years moved within the town. At the end of 2013, Galerie 11 then moved to Itzeho’s city center, directly on the pedestrian zone, in Breitenburger Straße. In addition to exhibition activities, there are readings, workshops, Tiny Gallery concerts, and theme nights.
