Blissful Orange Hunting" exhibition

(c) Image: Mona Claudine: Come to me! The Orangefox crossing Lake Pomegranate – 80 x 60 cm

In her paintings, Mona Claudine tells of Nordic myths and childhood memories. She combines archetypal motifs on the canvas in her own way, creating colorful scenes that are only partially open to universal deciphering.

They are intensely colorful, poetic pictorial worlds that offer the viewer an introspective view. Titles such as Meeting Fjälla or From North to South, Tulikettus Dreams of Gozo take us into the open spaces of buried connections to stories and memories of our Nordic ancestors.

Wild animals meet in sparsely defined landscapes, often painted with high-contrast contours. The scenes seem enraptured and not of this world.

Mona Claudine will return to the gallery for the finissage on Saturday, May 10, at 1 pm.
