Feasting, shopping, music & a good mood on May 5, 2024 from 12.00 – 17.00 in the city center
For the second time this year, retailers are inviting shoppers to a Sunday open for business in the city center. In addition to many open stores and offers, there will also be food stalls. Drinks, crêpes, bratwurst and other culinary delicacies will be available for the physical well-being of visitors. There is also a stand with rolled turf from Küsten-Rasen.
Our tourist information office at Breite Straße 4 is also open for you. We can provide you with information brochures about Itzehoe and the region, as well as souvenirs, gift articles and the Itzehoe voucher. We will be happy to advise you!
In keeping with the motto “Poetic Places”, there is a large window display campaign. Under the hashtag #itzeloveletter, artist Nina Riehl is decorating a number of shop windows in Itzehoe’s city center, from Wallstraße to the upper Feldschmiede, with creative and funny slogans. The project is part of the inner city development program of the state of Schleswig-Holstein and invites you to stroll through the city centre with watchful eyes and rediscover stores. There are great prizes to be won in the “itzeloveletter rally” from all the stores participating in the project. All you have to do is find all the hand lettering slogans in the city center. The entry form can be collected from the Tourist Information Office, Breite Straße 4, from Saturday, May 4, 2024, and returned there on Sunday between 12 noon and 3 pm. The award ceremony will take place at 4 pm on the stage in Kirchenstraße.
From 2 to 5 pm, there will also be an accompanying music program on the stage in Kirchenstraße: Yasmin Reese will be singing. The repertoire includes gospel, blues, soul, rock, rock’in roll, ballads…. is as broad as the music itself.
You are also cordially invited to the traditional free city tour from 12 noon. During the exciting tour you can discover many things in Itzehoe. You will also have the opportunity to climb the church tower of St. Laurentii Church… The meeting point is at 12 no on in front of the Tourist Information Office, Breite Straße 4. You can register at our Tourist Information Office on 04821-949012-0, the maximum number of participants is limited. 25 people limited.
